Mahon Community Creche / Child Development Centre

Information for Parents

Mahon Community Crèche and Child Development Centre is a Community based Child Care Facility. It was opened to the public in January 1998 and is part of the Mahon Community Development Project.

Its aim is to support parents living and working in the Mahon area who wish to return to work, training or education. back

Catering for Age Range
Crèche caters for babies/children aged 6 months to 36 months back

Number of Children and Babies Catered for
The maximum number of children per session is 15
2 babies under 1 year
13 children aged 1 year to 3 years


Staff Ratios to Children and Babies
1 staff to 3 babies 1 staff to 6 Children
There will be a minimum of 2 staff at all times back

Daily Opening Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday& Friday
Morning Session 9.00am – 12.30pm
Afternoon Session 1.00pm – 4.30pm
Thursday
Morning session only 9.00am – 12.30pm
Thursday afternoon’s closed for staff training.

Crèche Fees
The cost per session is €7.50 details of concessionary fee on request. back

Encourage social, physical, emotional and intellectual development.
Specially selected play equipment.
Activities appropriate to age and stage.
Group involvement.
Daily and weekly programmes displayed at crèche.
